We often travel hours out of Sydney for trail events, yet on our doorstep is some of the most gorgeous bushland, and fabulous terrain. The Bare Creek Trail Run, just 30 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, is the perfect event for all ages and abilities. The Garigal National Park stretches through Sydney’s northern suburbs and this event is a great way to experience the Park.
Whether you’re just starting out, or an experienced runner there is a run (or walk) that is ideal for you. From the 2km Dash, 6km family walk/run, to the challenging 10 km and 15 km courses.
The 2km Dash is an event specially aimed at young children, to enable them the thrill of participating in an event and introduce them to the joy of being in our local bush. The accompanying parent runs for free. The Dash is scheduled after the other events so that the parent / adult can run their own race, then run with their child afterwards.
New for 2017 is the 15 km course which takes in the best of Bare Creek. It is proving to be the most popular option. From Acron Oval, straight into the bush the the full 10km loop is completed before re-entering the bush and finishing with the challenging Cascades Track. We are excited to be adding a new 21km course with single track for 2018. Stay in touch with all that's happening - Facebook .
